Algorithms of Level of Detail in OpenSceneGraph
Hupka, Dušan ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Pečiva, Jan (advisor)
Present graphic requires a lot of optimizations of rendering techniques and mathematical calculations. It is caused by increased requirements of scene's visualization. One of scene's optimizing techniques is the Level of detail. This thesis is focused on methods used by LOD in OpenSceneGraph and OpenGL library. Next it will be described how to choose the right level of detail in a scene. Later it will be explained how to simplify 3D models. These techniques will be implemented in converting tool and demonstrating application. Methods for simplify 3D models will be tested for their speed and quality.
Level of Detail for Race Track Rendering
Mohelník, Petr ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Polok, Lukáš (advisor)
This work describes efficient race track rendering using OpenGL. It uses height map for terrain representation. The race track is rendered as polygonal model instanced on a curve using level of detail. An algorithm is proposed for using level of detail in real time even on mobile devices. Among described algorithms are dart throwing, Catmull-Rom spline, edge collapse simplification, view frustum culling. Part of this work is an application demonstrating the designed algorithm.
Analysis of the possibilities of linking building and economic software and software for technical drawing
Domanský, Vojtěch ; Aigel, Petr (referee) ; Výskala, Miloslav (advisor)
The main topic of the thesis is the analysis of the possibilities of linking building and economic software and software for technical drawing, in which BIM models are created, in order to achieve automatization of BIM model budgeting. The introductory, theoretical part defines the area of solved problematics in a broader background and the context of the problem. The overarching theme is BIM. Therefore, the basics and principles of this method, its fundamental aspects and current implementation within the Czech Republic are solved. The following chapters deal with standard budgeting procedures in the Czech construction market. The specifics of classical methods and their shortcomings in the context of contemporary construction are described. In the following part of the thesis the BIM budgeting concept, its vision and related aspects are discussed in more detail. The actual draft of the solution of interconnection of price systems and software, in which the BIM model is created, with orientation on valuation automation, is presented in the final, practical part of this thesis. Requirements for solution are defined and the procedure of its creation is described. Finally, the solution is tested and evaluated.
Gantry crane
Kriegler, Boleslav ; Škopán, Miroslav (referee) ; Pokorný, Přemysl (advisor)
The work is focusing on design and actual construction of gantry crane, which is constructed for manipulation with ships in ports. The work describes calculation of powers that are put on the crane or describes control of its parts. As an output of the work is considered drawing documentation.
WATER+TOWN MARINA BRUNENSIS
Bartošová, Radmila ; Navrkal, Martin (referee) ; Poslušná, Iva (advisor)
Subject of the thesis is to design a new shipyard. Our site is located on the beach of Brněnská přehrada. Place is narrow, in the slope. Inspiration of my project were at first the Mediterranean city whose houses follow the slope. Place will be use for the sport. And the sport was the second inspiration. Sport is opened for everybody and same is my building. Integrate everybody, not only athletes. All sport tools are especially useful. My project places great emphasis on the functionality that is to be traced in the form of buildings. And sport is mainly fun. Shipyard is not closed, but use a lot of free space for the free time and fun.
Fluorine detection by means of Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy
Jaworková, Magdalena ; Pořízka, Pavel (referee) ; Prochazka, David (advisor)
This work concerns the Laser Induced Break-down Spectroscopy LIBS and it´s usage in detection of fluorine in specimens. This method and the particular methods of measurements suitable for fluorine detection are analysed in theoretical part. The sensitivity of particular methods such as usage of buffer gases (He), change of ambient pressure, usage of double laser pulse (DP–LIBS) or detection of molecular bands are compared in experimental part.
Algorithms for Model Simplification
Pokorný, Jan ; Přibyl, Jaroslav (referee) ; Pečiva, Jan (advisor)
This paper is dedicated to simlification algorithms of polygonal models. First chapter deals with common principles of model simplification - features of polygonal models are explained here along with operations used in simlification. Next chapters introduce three simplification algorithms - Uniform Vertex Clustering, Floating Cell Vertex Clustering and Vertex Decimation. These methods are tested on a number of models and compared in various aspects - visual quality, aproximation time and geometric error of aproximation.
Level of Detail (LOD) Algorithms in OpenSceneGraph Library
Koukolíček, Ondřej ; Kršek, Přemysl (referee) ; Pečiva, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to explore and evaluate capabilities of the OpenSceneGraph library in the field of level of detail (LOD) algorithms. It contains introduction to the LOD issues and detailed description of techniques that are used in conjunction with this technology. Furthermore it analyses those tools available in OSG, which can be used to create an application utilizing LOD. The main part of the thesis is focused on description of design and implementation of application, which uses the LOD capabilities of OSG as well as own extension to these methods. In the conclusion, the resulting application is subjugated to a benchmark and the OpenSceneGraph librarys LOD capabilities are evaluated.
JEDNA IDENTITA: Brno-Vienna-Bratislava
Bártová, Kristina ; Kloda, Martin (referee) ; Mléčka, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this work is to analyze the problem of social alienation of two cultural centers of one region, rediscover a common link in between them and suggest a solution of their permanent coexistence through a specific architectural design.
Design of Sailing Boat
Křížová, Barbora ; Řezníček, Svatopluk (referee) ; Křenek, Ladislav (advisor)
The topic of this master‘s thesis is design and analysis of a sailing boat in accordance with ergonomic and technological requirements. The goal is to create a sailing boat, which will be modern, visually interesting and which and which will take future development of both design and technology into account.
